The Duke and Duchess of Sussex signed a production deal with Netflix, in which they will create children’s programmes, documentaries, and feature films
The royal couple have reportedly signed a yearly deal with streaming giant Netflix under their production company, which is yet to be named or made known to the public. This is according to New York Times. Although it is reported that the couple doesn’t have producing experience, Meghan was an actress, well-known for her role as Rachel Zane in a 10-season legal drama Suits. “Our focus will be on creating content that informs but also gives hope,” said Harry and Meghan in a statement. “As new parents, making inspirational family programming is also important to us.” The shows and content will be exclusive to the 193 million subscribers worldwide, which “will help us share impactful content that unlocks action,” the statement further read.
Ted Sarandos, Netflix’s co-chief executive and chief content officer, said in a statement, “We’re incredibly proud they have chosen Netflix as their creative home and are excited about telling stories with them that can help build resilience and increase understanding for audiences everywhere.”
As we patiently wait…
