There’s no better time to unwind after a long day than when you snuggle in bed with a cup (or a glass) of our favourite beverage and a remote. No matter the mood, the genre or the timeline, there’s a movie to suit it all. Here are our top ten favourite:

Think Like a Man:

Our favourite, this movie dates 11 years ago and it is about four women (Regina Hall, Gabrielle Union,
Meagan Good and Taraji P. Henson) are on a mission to solve their relationship problems using advice from a best-selling book (from Steve Harvey). But the men in their lives are less than cooperative.

Friends with Benefits

Starring Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis, this movie is about a recruiter and an art director striking up a friendship, and decide to capitalise on their chemistry with casual sex and no emotional attachments. But where will their casual affair end up?

A Journal for Jordan

Directed by Denzel Washington and starring Michael B Jordan, Chanté Adams and Jalon Christian, this tearjerking movie is based on a 2008 memoir. The storyline is based on Sgt Charles Monroe King, before he is killed in action in Baghdad, writes a journal for his son intended to tell him how to live a decent life despite growing up without a father.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is a 2008 American fantasy romantic drama film directed by David Fincher. This Oscar-nominated film is about Benjamin Button (Brad Pitt), a man who was born old and wrinkled but grows younger as the years go by. It also stars Cate Blanchett and Taraji P. Henson. This must-watch film earned three Oscars and 13 nominations, including acting and directing nods for Brad Pitt and David Fincher.

Happiness Ever After

This proudly South African film is a sequel to “Happiness is a Four-Letter Word”. The movie, starring Renate Stuurman, Khanyi Mbau and Nambitha Ben-Mazwi, finds Zaza, Princess and Zim living new chapters of their lives amid loss, family grudges and new love.
