So you can transforms your life for the better if you choose to. Here are seven habits we suggest you form for a better life:
Drink more water, add greens to your meal: You don’t have to take drastic measures to be healthier. Adding a glass or two to your daily intake is a good start. There are dozens of benefits to drinking water, from aiding with digesting to normalising blood pressure and improving the health of your skin. Oh, and mom was right about the importance of eating more vegetables as they are vital sources of many nutrients nature can gift us with. Add fresh vegetables to your daily meal for more health benefits.
Create a morning ritual: By now, most of you know that I am not a morning person, especially during cold, rainy days. And even I have to work hard at practising this ritual. However, getting up even 10 minutes earlier than you usually do adds more time to slay your day. You can create something as simple as meditating, praying, enjoying a cup of coffee or exercising, whatever you feel will help you kick-start your day in a positive way.
Surround yourself with positive people: It’s true that you are the company you keep. So be sure to guard your well-being by removing toxic people from your life, yes, even that best friend you knew from primary school who always made you feel bad about yourself by highlighting your weaknesses, or that cousin who is a nightmare to deal with. Be in the company of positive and driven people as happiness is contagious. Trust me, life is better when you are more positive and happier.
Read more: reading is the best way to gain more knowledge, keep up with what’s happening around the world and stimulate creativity. From books, to online content, magazines and newspapers, reading with help you formulate ideas and opinions and give you the motivation to overcome challenges you are facing.
Practice gratitude: There’s always something to be thankful for in life. From your family to even the clothes on your back. It’s easy to take things for granted and forget how fortunate you may be to have a roof over your head or food in your fridge. We all aspire to certain things, but don’t forget to appreciate how far you’ve come and what you have. You can practice gratitude by writing things you are thankful for daily, volunteering or spending more time with your loved ones.
