The 2019 Cape Town Jazz festival promises an event to remember, with renowned artists, Chaka Khan, Moonchild and Eliane Elias added to the lineup
Jazz lovers set the date for 29-30 March 2019 for the 20th Cape Town Jazz festival that will be held at the Cape Town International Convention Centre. Ten-time Grammy award-winning artist Chaka Khan, award-winning jazz pianist Eliane Elias (Brazil), multi-instrumentalist, neo-soul group Moonchild, South Africa’s first all-female big band, The Lady Day Big Band and award-winning singer, Shekhinah are announced to be in the lineup. But that’s not all; The Voice SA winner Craig Lucas, Don Laka, internationally acclaimed Soweto Gospel Choir, The Soil vocalist, Ntsika and Sho Madjozi will also be on stage. The festival is famous for its star-studded line up of local and international artists and it annually boasts 5 stages with more than 40 artists performing over two nights. What’s more is that the festival hosts more than 37, 000 music lovers over the two show days.
Ticket sales for CTIJF 2019 have been open at Computicket. Loyal festival goers are in for a treat, as a limited amount of Early Bird Weekend Pass tickets are available at R 999. Although these Early Bird tickets are already 75% sold out, fans can still take advantage of this 20th Celebration special. Thereafter, Weekend Pass: R 1290 and Day Pass: R 850.
