As the saying goes, life is what you make of it. It begins with what you feed your mind, especially with words. Below are affirmations to repeat every morning for a positive and successful outlook on life.
The tongue is the most powerful tool you have at your disposal. What you say to yourself and especially to others can have a permanent effect. In Christianity, The Holy Bible introduces the story of creation, which happened through words. The new testament, of John 1 v 1 says, in the beginning, was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. I am no preacher but I strongly believe that words can create as much as they can destroy. This is the reason it’s important for you to avoid saying self-deprecating words or thinking negative thoughts that only pull you back. Life is not a bed of roses, but it’s what you do about challenges that build your character. As you find your purpose or journey towards success, here are five positive affirmations to repeat to yourself every day:
“I can do all things [through Christ who strengthens me].” This is one of my favourite biblical scripture from Philippians 4:13. It affirms and reminds that everything you put your mind to is possible, especially when you work hard for it. You are capable and powerful beyond measure, all you have to do is believe in yourself and conquer your dreams.
“I am worthy of love and respect and deserve everything good I desire.” You were created to fulfill a purpose on earth. The world needs your talents to make it a better place. Choose to surround yourself with people who genuinely love you and want only what’s best for you. The company you keep is just as important for your destiny.

“I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” Again, this is a wonderful scripture that reminds you that you are not a mistake. You are God’s gift to your family, friends and your community. Wear this confidence to take on the world.
“I am thankful and grateful for life and…” The law of attraction teaches that when you are always thankful you will be given more to be thankful for. Faith teaches that when you pray you have to believe and feel as though you already have the things you desire. Be thankful for what you already have and be thankful for what the Universe (or God in my Christian language) will bless you with.
“I have the power to control only myself and hold myself accountable for my actions.” This affirmation is a reminder that you cannot and shouldn’t control anyone but yourself and how you choose to live your life. It also reminds you to account to and learn from your mistakes instead of blaming others.
Life is a journey, and each day is an opportunity to start over. Make yours a beautiful and memorable one, through the power of words.
