Tell us what you did before you were hand-selected by Rihanna to represent the brand globally as Fenty Beauty global makeup artist?
I served as a Sephora PRO Artist for 5 years, travelling the globe on behalf of the beauty retailer. As a Sephora PRO artist, I possessed the brand’s highest level of artistry, creating the looks for campaigns, educating staff and participating in local, national media and consumer events.
How has the journey been with Fenty Beauty?
I have been an integral part of the brand’s industry-shaking launches and growth. My passion and ability to highlight models’ natural beauty in unique ways are employed through beauty looks for campaigns, social media tutorials and videos and product expertise. I also serve as the lead artist for special events like NYFW, host artistry classes, develop educational tools to personally train thousands of Sephora makeup artists worldwide and play a critical role in product development.
Why are you passionate about beauty and makeup?
As a proud Dominican and native New Yorker, I believe in the powerful sensuality of makeup and enjoy infusing my urban and Latino heritage into a glamorous makeup vision, both on and off the runway, and on my celebrity clientele.
