Actress and TV presenter, Kajal Bagwandeen, has announced that she’ll be back on the big screen with a new family drama-comedy feature film titled 3 Days To Go, which she co-produced and was the casting director.

Kajal Bagwandeen is well known for being the host of Eastern Mosaic and later Mela on SABC. She has also held sought-after acting roles on local soapies and dramas such as Isidingo and 7de Laan, and more recently on international shows like Madiba and Netflix’s The Indian Detective just to highlight a few amongst a string of movie and TV credits under her belt.

“I’m very excited about the film, 3 Days To Go. Being part of the creative process as casting director and co-producer and then seeing the film come together is extremely rewarding. Although I’ve been busy behind the scenes, I loved being in front of the camera again as part of the ensemble cast,” expresses Kajal Bagwandeen.

Kajal Bagwandeen adds: “3 Days To Go holds a special place in my heart as the stories in the film are women-centric. Both myself and director Bianca Isaac are advocates of bringing more women of colour to the forefront of South Africa’s film industry and in saying that, Bianca has done a wonderful job on the film which is her directorial debut.”

3 Days To Go tells the story of adult siblings who, after the sudden death of their father, are forced to return to their childhood home – with an assortment of partners, children and issues in tow. Kajal Bagwandeen acts alongside an impressive cast which includes the likes of Leeanda Reddy, Bollywood’s Lillette Dubey, Tumi Morake and Jonathan Boynton-Lee just to name a few.
