Award-winning rapper, poet and brand ambassador Sho Madjozi signs to international music label Epic Records, making her the only South African to join the label.
Many of your favourite American musicians are probably signed to Epic Records. Think Future, Drake, Normani, Jennifer Lopez, Lil Wayne… the list goes on. Sho Madjozi joining the the label is one heck of a milestone, considering that only burst into the music scene in 2017, and racking in local and international awards while at it. The rapper sure made waves internationally with her single John Cena, a former WWE wrestler who acknowledged and even celebrated the star for singing about him.

In a statement, Chairperson and CEO of the label Sylvia Rhone said, “African artists are enjoying an unprecedented level of visibility in music and Sho Madjozi is beautifully waving the flag for South Africa. She’s bold, brilliant and remarkably talented and her music embodies all that is special about her homeland. We’re honoured to have her as the newest member of the Epic family.”
