Entertainer and YouTube sensation, Moshe Ndiki lets us into his successful career behind the lens. He shares how it all began and his success tips to young people.
Tell us about yourself, what were your childhood aspirations?
Growing up I always wanted to be a TV star and entertainer.
Take us through how you became a YouTuber, was it something you have always wanted to do and what inspired that decision?
I was unemployed after I had just graduated and a friend suggested we put a video on YouTube that I had made randomly. The rest, they say is history.
What topics do you love talking about and what has been your viewers’ favourite so far?
I love talking about relationships and how we interact as humans in general. My viewers’ favourite is still “Waxed by my ex”.
You are also a comedian, tell us about some of the challenges and highlights of that career field?
It has to be getting a standing ovation and a warm welcome from an audience. The challenges are not getting regular bookings as there aren’t as many events.
Who and what do you credit your success to?
My mom for never giving up on me and supporting me, my friends for being there for me through the toughest times and also celebrating with me through the good times.
What are your short term goals in your career in the entertainment space?
My short term goals are to be on radio and have my own show.
What is the best career advice you have received?
When you leave a meeting and you don’t feel settled or happy, then that deal is not for you, basically trust your gut instinct always.
What can we expect from you for the rest of 2017?
All will be revealed shortly, but I can guarantee you big moves.
What are your success tips to young people who want to make a success of themselves in any field they want to venture into?
Spend each waking day thinking about your dreams and how you can make them come true, at the end of each day you must’ve done something to bring you closer to them.
