Multi award winning, Ntando Bangani shows that the stage is where he belongs at the launch of his new album, Mayibuye
14 years, 6 albums and many awards later, Ntando Bangani has returned to the music scenes with a new album, which he launched at the Soweto Theatre on 24 August 2017 with fellow artists from Muthaland. Some of the artists that opened the show were the talented saxophonist, Bongani Radebe, vocally gifted Vusi Nova and a new group 047, which hails from the Eastern Cape.
The album, Mayibuye (Bring it back), reveals Ntando’s stand on Africans getting back what belongs to them. From unity and true liberation to the love humanity once shared for each other. His show stopping performance that he opened with a heart-warming song off his new offering, Kulikhuni as well as Ndonile that he performed alongside Vusi Nova was a reminder why South Africa fell in love with him since his entry into the music industry. The singer, who made his debut appearance on eTV’s Broken Vows on 25 August 2017 admits that this particular album was the hardest he made as he wanted to give his best work yet. The wait is finally over and fans are in for a music treat. As for me there are songs, such as dali that are already on repeat.
