5 Simple Ways To Slay Your Goals This Week

How to successfully achieve your

Mondays don’t have to be blue, instead use this day as a tool to trigger a great week ahead.

Nothing beats the feeling of hopelessly watching the clock on a Sunday racing to a brand new week. Weekends are always too short, especially if work demands your undivided attention. Don’t you find it frustrating being swamped with a sea of work and feeling like you are not achieving your goals? Well, fret no more because there are simple ways to successfully tick off your goals this week, if you put your mind to it. This is how I have managed to achieve my weekly and monthly goals. I hope these help:

Set at least two goals that motivate you: You don’t have to bite more than you can chew. If you want to get that promotion or find another job that will challenge you, update your CV and apply for it. Visit the department you want to branch to at work and make the connections. Make Linkedin your best friend and start following companies you see yourself working in. Make a to-do list and set a deadline to finish off some work each day and stick to it.

Write down your goals: and place them where you can see them daily. Something about visualising your goals in writing or in pictures will discipline you into implementing them.

Follow the success stories of your role models: I personally don’t like how social media makes everything look glamorous and easy, I prefer watching my favourite slayers on YouTube or reading their biographies as they show behind the scenes of their success. Those who know me know how much I love gearing myself up with the success stories of Khanyi Dhlomo, Beyonce and Oprah Winfrey.

Don’t be hard on yourself: Putting pressure on yourself won’t do any justice. If you find stumbling blocks along the way, there’s always the next day to try again. End the day knowing that you have at least done something that you are proud of.

Just do it: I know a lot of people who have great ideas but hide their fears behind ‘perfecting’ them before doing something. I don’t like that approach because chances are it will never happen. If you there is something you want to achieve, make that call, put a presentation together and bang those doors until someone hears you out. Who knows your dreams could be what the world needs to make life easier, while raking in millions into your bank!
