Your week can be the longest or way too short, depending on your approach on life and work. This is how successful people make their week productive

We all have the same 24 hours in a day and it’s how we use them that makes a big difference in our lives. For the hustler, time does feel too short and we wonder how to reach every goal we have set out for the rest of the day or week. Having a side business can make life just as busy and it often means sacrificing a few hours of sleep just to catch up. So how do successful people seem to make their week productive? These are some of the things you can emulate from them:

Plan the week ahead: Yes, every successful task you need to complete requires you to plan ahead, whether it’s completing that deadline or having a business lunch with a client, you have to diarise what you want to do and stick to it as much as possible.

Get things out of the way: We all have certain things, such as work projects or certain meetings, that we dread doing. But tackle those tasks first to avoid wasting your mental energy disliking them and eventually messing them up. When you start your day or week completing such tasks it will help you breeze you into other things.

Learn to say no: If you find yourself internally swearing into the night because of a work deadline you were asked late to assist with or being that go-to friend when assistance is needed, even at your expense, finance or time then you need to learn to say no if you really can’t do it. Not only will it save you time, but it will save you your relationship with colleagues and friends who also need to respect the boundaries you have to set.

Start your day early: It’s amazing how much a big difference getting up an hour early can have. If you have a lot on your plate, start your day early with meditation to mentally prepare yourself for the day ahead.

Don’t be too hard on yourself: It’s better to tick off everything on your to do list than trying to be too perfect. If you have worked to the best of your ability, regardless of the outcome than you have to be pat yourself on the back because you were proactive in the goals you wanted to achieve. Always celebrate each milestone, which will keep you motivated to slaying the rest of your week.
