Award-winning businessman Sylvester Chauke shares how his passion for marketing and communications started, as well as his success tips to young people
Sylvester has had a very successful career in marketing and communications, having headed up these departments at Nandos and MTV Networks Africa before starting his own company, DNA Brand Architects. It’s fascinating that someone at the height of business success, he wasn’t sure what he wanted to pursue his career in. Like any other person, he said, he wanted to be different things, including being a teacher, a journalist, and anything he saw on TV that he felt was meant for him. His definition of success includes being able to meet the goals you set for yourself. It’s being able to live a life where he goes to bed feeling happy, appreciative, and valuable to the world, not because of his job necessarily but by who he was.
