June is Youth Month. And what better time to shine the spotlight on youth-owned brands than now?

Imagine a mall that only houses South African youth-owned brands! The festival of Youth-Owned Brands, brought to you by Standard Bank, will comprise exactly that and so much more! A celebration of creativity, innovation, and the entrepreneurial spirit of the youth. The Top 16 Youth-Owned Brands are hosting a two-day festival, which will take place from 09:00 – 17:00 (Day 1) and 09:00 – 15:00, followed by the award ceremony from 18:00 (Day 2) on the 14th and 15th of June 2023 at the Sandton Convention Centre.

The Top 16 Youth-Owned Brands Awards are an entity that recognises and celebrates youth excellence. The Top16YOBA’s acknowledge that the youth are not only contributing to the South African economy, but the overall image of the country.

The festival will provide a platform for youth-owned brand owners to showcase their brands, products, and services to a diverse audience, all while offering an immersive entertainment experience. This will take place over the two days. The air will be filled with entrepreneurial energy and attendees can expect to engage with the different brands showcasing their products and services, giving them a chance to directly interact with the brand creators themselves. This not only gives attendees a chance to support local, but also learn about brands they did not know of.

The Top16YOBA prides itself in creating opportunities for the youth, therefore, most young people are a part of bringing the festival to life. The masterclasses will be held by notable names in the marketing and entrepreneurial industry such as Thebe Ikalafeng, Lebo Lion, Bulelani Balabala, Tshepo Mohala, Mbali Sebapu and so much more.

It is the celebration and recognition of bright young creatives who are entrepreneurial visionaries. The festival will end with the award ceremony on the 15th of June at 18:00pm, where expressive visionaries will walk away with the Top 16 Youth-Owned Brand Award.
