The award-winning singer will be joined by Tame Impala and Childish Gambino to headline the festival, which takes place over two weekends in April in Indio, California.
While fans have been raving about 2018’s desert concert, which Beyonce renamed Beychella, Childish Gambino will take over the headlining slot on the opening day of its 2019 festival, while Tame Impala will perform second, with Ariana Grande closing the carnival. The three singers will perform on April 12-14 and then again on April 19-21 and will share the same stage with Solange Knowles; Janelle Monáe; Kid Cudi, DJ Snake and, Idris Elba, who, if you didn’t know is also a DJ.
The 25-year-old Grande will make history as she is the fourth ever female headliner at the festival, and also the youngest headliner ever in the festival’s history. The singer announced the news on Instagram, saying, “Humbled and excited as all hell @coachellathank u.’
Last year, Beyonce was joined by The Weeknd and Eminem as headliners, with our favourite celebrities, Minnie Dlamini-Jones, Enhle Mbali Maphumulo, Black Coffee, Thando Thabethe, Terry Pheto, and Ms Cosmo soaking up the Californian sun at the festival.
