Is Your Budget Tight? Here Are Steps To Get Your Marketing Off The Ground.

Posted In: Career & Business | Tips

Many startups begin with an amazing idea for a service or a product, but sometimes getting the word out about their offering may seem daunting. This is How to get your marketing off the ground

Dimakatso Moloantoa, founder of AMARI Marketing shares her tips on how you can market your business:

Create a relationship with your current customers: This can be done through a database created as and when clients purchase from you. You can then send them specials, event information and go to the level of sending them Birthday, anniversary and other special occasion discounts for that special touch.

Create a platform for people to get in touch with you and to talk about you: This could be a blog- where you put constant content for your target audience with information that is relevant to them. Social Media is also a MUST HAVE!! Social Media is the cheapest and most accessible marketing tool for any business.

Loyalty Rewards: As seen in many retail marketing strategies, encouraging repeat purchase through a loyalty program and rewarding them with product or price discounts. This helps build a lasting relationship with your clients and for them to become ambassadors for your business.

Have a Unique Selling Point: You need to know what makes your offering desirable than the next. What makes you different? This has to be something that is substantial enough to sway a purchase decision in your favour. This can be speed of delivery, customized service offering, etc. It has to be relevant to your industry and most importantly; your business.

Google Ads and Content Marketing: Many customers know what they want and they’re looking for search engines like Google or Bing. They sell ads. Those ads, which get your name directly in the face of consumers, work. This will help get traffic to your website and take you to the top of the list when your target consumer is looking for services/ products that you offer.

More than anything, there is no blueprint for Marketing strategies because every business is different. So it is important to measure your marketing results- Marketing that is not measured in failed marketing.
