Art Meets Fashion (AMF) was founded by Zanokuhle Duma, a self-taught fashion designer and art enthusiast. Originally a regulatory risk and governance specialist in compliance, Zanokuhle transitioned into the world of fashion and art with the goal of creating a platform that bridges the gap between these two creative industries.
The AMF team is a diverse and dynamic collective of creatives and professionals, each bringing a unique skill set that elevates the platform to new heights. The team consists of Leeroy Luthuli Jason, a highly celebrated commercial photographer and activist known for his impactful work in both the arts and social spheres. His photography has garnered acclaim for its innovative approach and its ability to capture compelling narratives that resonate deeply with audiences.
His creative vision and commitment to meaningful causes make him a key figure in both the arts and advocacy spheres. As one of the directors at AMF, Leeroy’s expertise adds a layer of depth and nuance, capturing the essence of fashion and art while promoting important social messages and his involvement and many years of experience in the eventing spaces and reshaping spaces and narrative through documenting.
Itumeleng Morule is a distinguished professional architect renowned for his exceptional design skills and innovative approach to architecture. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for creating spaces that inspire and engage, Morule’s work is characterized by its creativity and functionality.
His contributions to AMF as one of the directors include bringing a sophisticated architectural perspective to the events and installations, enhancing the overall aesthetic and experiential quality of the platform. His ability to conceptualize and execute dynamic spaces plays a crucial role in creating immersive environments where art and fashion can truly shine.
Oliver Antonie is a curator and art gallery owner. Antonie is the art curator for AMF. As the curator, Oliver plays a role in shaping the artistic direction, bringing a refined eye for art and an understanding of how to create engaging and impactful displays.
His involvement with AMF has been instrumental in hosting the platform’s inaugural event at Origin Art Gallery, providing a space that perfectly complements the fusion of fashion and art.

About the interactive sculpture garden
The interactive sculpture garden at Art Meets Fashion is a dynamic and immersive space designed to merge art, fashion, and audience engagement. It features sculptures that are not only visually stunning but also encourage interaction from visitors, blurring the lines between observer and participant. Each sculpture is curated or created in collaboration with local artists, designers, and creatives, offering a unique sensory experience
The Interactive Sculpture Garden will feature dynamic sculptures created by artists, including Ndabuko Ntuli, a multidisciplinary artist whose work is deeply rooted in Zulu culture. His pieces are known for their unique use of discarded materials, and the garden will offer a space where attendees can interact with these works. Some sculptures may be conceptual or even interactive, allowing visitors to contribute to the creation of art by adding their own touches or ideas. This participatory experience is intended to blur the line between observer and creator, making art accessible and engaging for everyone.

For Art Meets Fashion, the installations and fine art section will feature diverse works from artists blending fashion and art, bringing unique cultural and contemporary themes to life.
Featured artists:
John Baloy (Photographer & Visual Artist): A photographer and visual artist from Johannesburg, John Baloy began his career as a freelance photographer in 2017 after working in graphic design and the mining industry. His work focuses on documenting the black experience through a surreal, Afrocentric lens, portraying people of color as works of art. His work has been exhibited internationally, including at the AKAA Art Fair in France and the Abantu Exhibition with Dyman Gallery. Baloy’s photography is about reimagining black identity and fostering pride.
Availability: His photography will likely be available for purchase, and his prints can be acquired directly through AMF’s platform or during the event.
Ndabuko Ntuli (Multidisciplinary artist, producer and musician): Ndabuko Ntuli is a multidisciplinary artist born in 1975 in KwaZulu Natal, deeply rooted in Zulu heritage. His works are known for their dynamic, ever-evolving style. He works across various mediums, from painting to sculpture, often incorporating discarded materials. Each piece reflects his background and profound connection to Zulu culture. His career has seen wide recognition, and his art explores both personal and collective identity.
Availability: His pieces are often considered collectible art, and they will likely be on sale. Purchases may be facilitated directly during the event or through later arrangements via AMF.
Will works on display be on sale?
AMF typically provides a platform where attendees can engage with the artists, make inquiries about the artwork, and acquire pieces directly with the artist or our curator Origan Art Gallery.

- On-site at the event: You can approach the respective artists or representatives at the installation to inquire about pricing and purchase options.
- Through AMF’s platform: AMF will likely have a digital platform where interested buyers can view available artworks, get more details, and make purchases post-event.
Unfortunately, Janet Jackson will no longer headline the DStv Delicious International Food and Music Festival on Saturday following the recent death of her brother, Tito Jackson.
However, organisers have assured the public that Sunday’s programme will continue as planned, with Jill Scott gracing the festival stage. More information regarding the replacement headliner will be announced soon.
