American reality TV show The Masked Singer is finally landing in South Africa, thanks to Anele Mdoda’s production company.
Hosted by comedian and TV Personality Mpho Popps, The Masked Singer SA sees Somizi, Skhumba, J Something and Sithelo Shozi crack their heads in a guessing who of Mzansi’s celebs are behind the mask.
Your Saturday evenings will not be the same as celebrated South African entertainment personalities will star in a new show, where they will share a stage, singing well-known songs while bejewelled in full body costumes and masks, to hide their identities. The flamboyant masks and costumes have a personality of their own, and invite as much commentary as the performances themselves do.
Media personality and DJ Sithelo Shozi, who is making her television debut on the show, tells KDanielles Media that she is excited to bring this show to SABC 3 and 1. “We had a great time working on it. We saw incredible performances and we are certain the viewers at home will love it just as much. It has also been a delight to be on the detectives table alongside my favourite personalities as colleagues on this show. Each episode is refreshing and fun and this is what Saturday entertainment at home should be like.”
