H&M’s first African collaboration with Mantsho by Palesa Mokubung is expected to hit stores on 15 August and we can’t wait
There are a number of things to celebrate this women’s month. First, we just crowned Miss South Africa. Second, fans of Mantsho by designer, Palesa Mokubung will finally get their hands on her apparel, found exclusively at H&M in South Africa and abroad on August 15. Adding her South SeSotho background to her collection, you will see Afrocentric patterns, frills and loose-fitting cuts. About her collaboration Palesa shared earlier this year, “This is truly a dream come true for me. To be the first South African designer to have their own collection in H&M South Africa stores and exclusive H&M flagship store worldwide is quite an amazing feeling. This is such an exciting period of my life and I cant wait to share it with you.”
Neither can we. The Mantsho label, which means ‘black is beautiful’ in the SeSotho language has since graced numerous runways in Greece, India, the US, Jamaica, Nigeria, Botswana and Senegal.
Get your hands on Mantsho x H&M collection next week.
