The Jurassic World sequel is back and it promises another seat shifting, funny, predictable and fun experience. Is it worth the watch? Find out below
Imagine a runway of dinosaurs, caged, roaring and waiting to be sold to the highest bidder? Well that’s what happens at a gigantic, shadowy mansion, meant to be a rescue haven for the endangered species in the Jurassic World sequel. What leads to that is the volcanic island of Isla Nublar, home of the dinosaurs, is about the erupt, calling for Claire Dearing, Owen Grady, new faces, Franklin and Zia Rodriguez to rescue the animals. The twist, however is that they were duped into a rescue mission, by Benjamin Lockwood’s estate, and that’s where the intensity builds up in this blockbuster. Despite the political aftertaste this movie adds about ethics, financial gain and creating our own extinction as a result of poaching, and creating genetically manufactured animals. Blue stands out for me, not only because of her intelligence and relationship with Owen but because you just can’t help but notice and fall in love with her. There are comic reliefs here and there and a bit of ridiculousness in the movie that will definitely make an interesting choice for a night out. Was an extinction of dinosaurs was necessary for the survival of humanity? It’s a question I picked the movie was asking, and whether it managed to answer will be up to you.
