Mondays are the least of some people’s favourite days, but you can start the week on a positive note if you use these four steps
The weekend just seems to be short and before I know it I helplessly watch the clock ticking speedily on a Sunday evening. Mondays have never been my favourite days, ever. But it wasn’t until recently when I really wanted to change this mindset because I know I am lucky to wake up everyday and do something I am very passionate about. Since we all make mistakes and fail at some point in our lives any day is always an opportunity to start afresh. I have realised that being optimistic, no matter what you are going through does work wonders. If you try to focus on the goals you want to achieve, from applying for a new job to working on a business proposal, Mondays are a great start to working on them. I decided to use the following steps to start my week on a positive note, and refusing to let anything get me down.
Have a restful Sunday: Okay, I am still trying my best to have a quiet, sane Sunday, but this is a very crucial step to having a great week ahead. If you make it a point to rest and not do anything hectic on this day, you will be geared up and energetic enough to be productive throughout the week.
Meditate: Spend at least 30 minutes every moring meditating, praying, reading, listening to or watching motivational talks. My favourite YouTube channels are Super Soul Sundays by Oprah or TED Talk. I also keep a motivational book in my bag for those lunch breaks.
Plan your week: Have weekly or daily goals that you can tick off your schedule. Planning helps you make the most out of your time and day and challenges you to be proactive in fulfilling your dreams.
Exercise: Well, it’s been a while since I exercised but I know it is a great lifestyle that is preached all the time. Yoga, especially in the morning does it for me as it helps clear my mind and energises me physically and mentally.
