Rather open a business account and never mix your business transactions with your personal account.

Know where your money is going: Most people owners don’t have a financial background. If that’s the case invest in having a bookkeeper or getting financial softwares that will help you track where your money is going. The health of your business is mainly determined by your finances. So always keep track of your finances.

Always keep your customers happy: There is no business without clients or customers. Always listen to their wants and even their suggestions. Show your regular customers a token of appreciation by either offering them discounts or branded gifts that they can keep. Happy customers are your biggest marketing tool as they recommend your business to other people. Word of mouth is as important for any business today as it was many years ago.

Network, network, network: Attend as many business or networking seminars as that’s where you are likely to get clients and business guidance. Networking is very important to build a healthy and even profitable rapport with others. Also, join groups with similar interests on Facebook, your next deal can be from there.

Be passionate about what you do: You will spend sleepless nights trying to build a successful business that might take months to have its first transaction. Your passion will be your fuel when things don’t go as planned because it’s not easy giving up on something you love, especially when you get professional guidance on it.
