Finally, The Lazy Makoti's Guide To The Kitchen Book Hits ShelvesMogau Seshoene’s new cookbook, The Lazy Makoti’s Guide to The Kitchen is finally on shelves today. She shares about her book and some success tips

If you follow The Lazy Makoti on Instagram your eyes have probably been feasting on delectable food that whets an appetite. But most importantly, you, like I, have been counting down to today (10 October 2018) to get your hands on the cookbook. Mogau has been a force to be reckoned with in the culinary industry over the years, earning not only awards and recognition for her work but fans across the country. She tells us about one of her biggest milestones. And a quick recipe to success:

“I am extremely excited about my debut cookbook. The Lazy Makoti’s Guide To The Kitchen is a guide to the South African kitchen. In the book, you will find traditional recipes that you probably last had when you visited your grandmother. You will also find more ‘modern’ dishes that we have in the city. I hope you will find it amazing and I think you won’t need another cookbook for the rest of year once you get a hold of this one. Also, my advice to anyone who has a dream that they want to achieve is persevere because sometimes it takes a while to get to where you want to be. I had wanted to publish my book for years and I now realise that this timing is perfect. It took me going to culinary school, perfecting my craft and networking to get me to this point. Through that, I got a great publishing and distribution deal that wouldn’t have happened if I had published the book three years ago. A lot of patience is required while you work for your dreams. It will eventually pay off one day, as long as you don’t give up.”

Get a copy of the book at leading bookstores nationwide and takealot.com and loot.com

2 tablespoons capers, coarsely chopped
2 tablespoon mustard

Combine mayonnaise, dill, capers, and mustard in a small bowl. Place potatoes in a bowl and add the mayonnaise mixture. Gently toss until just combined.
