A lot of successful people failed at some point in their lives, but it’s their persistence that sets them apart. This is how you can be one of them

Oprah Winfrey was once fired from her evening news reporter job, Walt Disney was booted from a newspaper he worked for as his editor felt he lacked imagination, JK Rowling was showed the door for secretly writing story ideas on her work computer… These highly successful people are just the tip of an iceberg when it comes to people who were told were not good or talented enough for companies they worked for. There are many challenges we hustlers face, especially at the infancy of our businesses or even careers. Failing seems like an inevitable and sometimes necessary part the success story we are writing. With so many tools that try help avoid failing as humans we are bound to make mistakes, not only in our business or careers but in life. But it’s important to learn from such experiences and move on. This is how you can overcome failure like successful people do:

They use failing as a learning curve: If failing was a dead end, so many businesses wouldn’t exist and neither would we know of people who inspire us. Yes, failing can be discouraging and even embarrassing but if you look closely enough there are lessons you can learn from every mistake or failure you have experienced.

They never give up: I once had a chat with internationally renowned singer, Lira. And she spoke of how heart breaking it was going back home when things didn’t go well with her first record label. She embraced her pain and had to bear her haters who mocked her. But it was when she changed her mind set that things started to work out for her. Having a positive attitude and being persistent in following your dreams will sure help you overcome the challenges you go through.

They have strong support systems: If your family, friends or partner are your pillar of strength through challenging times then hold on to them. Nothing is more important than having people who want to see you succeed and are there for you no matter what. Successful people allow their loved ones to help them and encourage them on their at all times.

How else do you think successful overcome failure?
